A Cultural Reference: The Doll’s Korean Origins

It’s based on a traditional children’s game in Korea called “The Mugunghwa Flower Has Bloomed,” which is similar to “Red Light, Green Light” but played with a different set of rules. The Mugunghwa flower is South Korea’s national flower, and its connection to the doll brings an added layer of cultural significance to the show.
