Cinque Terre is a stunning coastal region, but its popularity has caused over-tourism, resulting in overcrowded villages, expensive hotels, and damage to the natural environment. While the views are beautiful, the region’s commercialism has taken away some of its charm.

Alternative: Head to the Amalfi Coast or the less-visited Cilento Coast for similarly beautiful coastal views without the same level of commercialization.
