A Brief History of Coffee Mug Brewing (8/10)

Brewing coffee in a mug has its roots in traditional methods used by various cultures. In Turkey, finely ground coffee is boiled directly in water, creating a rich brew. Similarly, cowboy coffee—popularized by American ranchers—is made by boiling coffee grounds in a pot and serving it unfiltered. These methods inspired the simple yet effective mug brewing technique we use today.
