Ingredients:
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste

- In a pot, melt butter and sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
- Add broccoli and broth; simmer until broccoli is tender (15-20 minutes).
- Blend the soup until smooth. Return to heat.
- Stir in cream and cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
