French Onion Soup

Ingredients:

  • 4 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 6 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 4 slices of baguette
  • 1 cup grated Gruyère cheese
  • Instructions:

    1. Melt butter in a pot and cook onions with sugar until caramelized.
    2. Add beef broth and wine; simmer for 30 minutes.
    3. Ladle soup into bowls, top with baguette slices, and sprinkle with cheese.
    4. Broil until cheese is melted and bubbly.
