Considered sacred by Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bonpos, Mount Kailash is a remote and isolated peak in Tibet. It is believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva in Hindu mythology, and the act of circumambulating the mountain is said to cleanse one’s soul.
