Mount Taranaki, also known as Mount Egmont, is a dormant stratovolcano in New Zealand’s North Island. Its symmetrical, snow-capped peak is one of the most iconic in the country. The surrounding Egmont National Park offers incredible hiking opportunities, including the popular Pouakai Circuit, which provides views of the mountain, surrounding forests, and serene lakes.
