Nazare is the epicenter of big wave surfing. Known for its monstrous waves, some of which can reach up to 100 feet, Nazare attracts surfers from all over the world looking to take on its massive swells. The underwater Nazaré Canyon funnels ocean swells toward the beach, creating some of the biggest and most powerful waves on the planet.
