“There’s a strong correlation between authenticity and attractiveness in long-term relationships,” James Chen, relationship counselor and founder of Dating Dynamics, tells Bustle. “We’ve found that men are drawn to women who are comfortable in their own skin and don’t try to be someone they’re not.”
In other words, being true to yourself, with all your quirks and imperfections, is far more attractive and memorable than trying to fit into a perceived ideal. So if you’re unapologetically yourself, Chen says, there’s a good chance you’re leaving a lasting impression.
