Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 cups canned crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Melt butter in a pot and sauté onion and garlic until soft.
- Add tomatoes and vegetable broth. Simmer for 20 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and basil. Blend until smooth using an immersion blender.
- Season with salt and pepper. Serve warm.
